Catstacku Contest!

Announcing the 3rd Ever Catstacking Contest! You read the title right. This is the Catstacku Contest.

From my sleeping back
Life grows, twists up towards the sun
How very irksome

The Contest: Stack your cat however you see fit. As usual, we most appreciate stacks that show height, creativity and good use of materials. After you’ve photographed your cat, sit down and write a haiku about catstacking. The haiku can be about your particular stack or about stacking in general. Please try to adhere to the haiku formula as best you can, but if you can’t get it just right, that’s OK, we’re not all poets. Submit your image and poem through the Submit page – please write Catstacku Contest somewhere in your submission so we know that’s what it’s for.

Recap: 1) Picture of your stacked cat, 2) Haiku to go with your picture.

The winner will be the cat and owner with the best combined stack and haiku.

The Loot: One grand master stacker with the best Catstacku will receive two fabulous books: Catku: Cat Haiku Poems and The Fur Person by May Sarton. After perusing Catku I’m going to say that some of these haikus are a bit dubious in nature – I know you can do better! As for the Fur Person: prepare to vomit in your throat a little as you fill up with love for cats.

Who can win: Residents of the USA, Canada and Mexico. Those outside these three countries can enter, but you can’t win. Sorry Charlie.

How long you’ve got: Entries for this contest will be accepted until March 2. At midnight on March 2, the contest will be closed. So, you have 2 weeks from today. Get ‘er done. Oh, and tell your friends to enter too! It’s fun!
