Metal Stacking Contest Winner!

All right, the time has come to put all these metal stacks up against each other and pick one winner. It’s been really hard to decide since all of the pictures we received are beautiful testimonials to catstacking and of course, to metal. So, we want you all to know, as generic as it sounds, that you are all winners here even though we only have one CD to give away. Also, thank you to blogs like Invisible Oranges and others that plugged the contest – thank you!

And now, the winners of the Intronaut CD and accompanying cat treat (a bag of Friskies Party Mix. I know, really metal) are Aaron and his cat Aoife from Halifax, Nova Scotia!

In the end we picked this entry because it contains both metal items AND awesome catstackery. Aaron performed a catstack that was well-balanced enough to photograph from several angles and he also noted that he was both the stacker and the stackee. “Stacked by a stacked cat!” Aoife, Aaron writes, is “also quite metal… demonstrated by her frostbitten, grim corpse paint fur.” Thanks Aaron and Aoife! Whatstacked: A whole pile of very metal stuff, a real skull

Hot on Aoife’s heels we have Maximus, who’s making a very scary metal face. Along with all his metal goodies, Tyler has included a real human skull. “My grandmother gave it to me. I’m pretty sure it isn’t my grandpa. But there’s room for doubt.” It doesn’t get much more metal than a real skull on your cat!

Another close contender was Mr. T stacked by Nay. It’s not by accident that Mr. T has been inverted, and he’s “concentrating so hard on being grim, he actually looks like he’s dead.” Very solid work by Mr. T on this stack and the commentary made me laugh.

Out of all the cats, Jack-Jack might be the most metal-looking. He has that intense dark forest cat stare going on. He’s also nicely balanced a pair of antlers on his back. Well done!

This is Buzzo. He’s twice as metal as most cats because he’s named Buzzo. He’s delightfully stacked with a mini bottle of Jack on a mini amp of faux-Fender. In short, he’s ready to rock. Thanks Buzzo and Owner of Buzzo!

What kind of singing voice do you suppose Snarf has? In my daydreams he sounds like Rob Halford.

Pants and Winston are snuggled up together with a pile of their favorite metal items! When you come down to it metal is really about your bros, isn’t it? And napping.

Puddy came in with this very difficult stack of three heavy skulls. Owner Kamilah says “You can tell from his face that I have 2.5 seconds to take the picture and he’s already counted to 2. I hope Catstacking will help Puddy and I discover new depths to our relationship.” We hope so too, Kamilah!
